Hi everyone! My name is Marie as you may already know. I’ve been tattooing for just under 2 years. Tattoo has been apart of my life for as long as I can remember, being from Hawaii I’ve always been around it, it’s a big part of my culture. Often people ask me why I’m living in Iowa, and sometimes I ask myself that same question! Haha but I’ve met many great people here, Color Works being apart of that.
When it comes to my art style or tattoo interests, I’d say I really am looking forward to doing more color pieces. I feel my best when I get to think of what color palette will be most effective and eye catching, I’m a big fan of vibrant colors! Nonetheless, being able to tattoo and help people bring their ideas to life is rewarding no matter the style or concept so I’m definitely not opposed to taking on other types of work. I just want to deliver my best, every time.
Get To Know Me: I’m a huge anime fan, my anime library is extensive so I’d like to think I’m pretty knowledgeable there. I’m a movie goer! Going to the cinema is so fun to me I enjoy most genres. That goes for books as well, currently I’ve been into Red Rising, TOG and The Poppy War series! I’m also very into anything fantasy/sci-fi and all things magical! I gravitate towards those kinds of concepts, I feel most creative when I can be whimsy. With that in mind, I also take a lot of inspiration from Asian culture, probably due to my heritage I admit. But lately i’ve been trying to merge the two aesthetics and I’ve been enjoying coming up with new designs, hopefullyones I’ll get to tattoo someday!
